The 1990 74th Running of the Indianapolis 500 - 1990 Corvette Convertible Event Cars!

For the 1990 Indianapolis 500 race, there were a total of eighty Corvette Convertibles at the Speedway.

The actual Pace car that year was the Chevy Beretta, pictured here with Jim Perkins from Chevrolet, who was also the Honorary Pace Car driver that year.

The breakout was fifty Turquoise Metallic and thirty Competition Yellow cars, all with black interiors.

The Turquoise Corvettes were used as Courtesy cars for the visitors, staff, and dignitaries that attended the race. The yellow Corvettes were used in other support roles.  White Camaro Convertibles were used in the 500 Festival Parade to carry the 33 drivers.

This year's 500 Festival Queen was Vanessa Lee Baird.
